With a constant stream of independent releases since 2014, Quebec City natives DON’T TRY have proven time and again that they’re in no shortage of infectious riffs and groovy rhythms. Merging Garage influences and textures with Hardcore/Punk mosh parts and singalongs, they’re on a mission to create their unique blend of Heavy Music.

In addition to their studio work, the tight-knit unit composed of Louis Ladouceur (guitar), Maxime Maltais (vocals), Alexandre D-Drouin (drums), Antoine McNulty (guitar), and Olivier Roy (bass & vocals), are determined to leave their mark with their uncompromising live performances. Since their inception, the band has been earning its stripes playing every club show possible across Eastern Canada, they even supported Deez Nuts and Trash Talk on a full European tour (2018). DON’T TRY bounced back into the touring landscape ravaged by the pandemic with a month-long UK/EU Tour (2024), which ended with an appearance at Leipzig’s stop of the Impericon Festival. They stayed busy in 2025 completing two additional European tours, one of which was in support of the legendary Canadian formation Cancer Bats.

For their newest EP “Cries of Domination” (2025), the band teamed up with producer Wade MacNeil (Alexisonfire) and mixer Jon Markson (Drug Church, Drain) to give us their most unruly and abrasive body of work to date. This collection of songs is a testament of their dedication to songwriting, constant sonic exploration, and a step further towards cementing DON’T TRY’s place within the underground music scene.
