SEXBEAT interpretiert Punk geschichtsbewusst mit weitgefächerten Einflüssen, die von Oblivians über Suicide bis hin zu Hot Snakes reichen. Klanglich orientiert man sich am 90er-Jahre Sound des Dischord-Katalogs: Bass und Drums drücken nach vorne, Gitarre und Gesang kotzen sich dazwischen aus. Die Songs klingen mal stark fragmentiert und mechanisch, mal detailliert ausgearbeitet, aber immer direkt und unverblümt.

We’re playing our very first solo show at Ostpol.

On October 12th, SEX BEAT will take the stage.

SEX BEAT interprets punk with a strong sense of history, drawing from a wide range of influences — from Oblivians to Suicide to Hot Snakes. Sonically, they’re inspired by the 90s Dischord Records sound: bass and drums push relentlessly forward, while guitar and vocals spit and snarl between them. The songs shift between being jagged and mechanical or intricately worked out — but they’re always raw and unapologetic.
